Is the phone compatible with hearing aids? How do Chatsie phones accommodate the Hard of Hearing/Deaf?

Chatsie is built on Android 14 which accommodates for the Hard of Hearing and Deaf Communnity in the Accessibility section. The key visual indicator is via Flash Notification, as well as supporting the use of Apps associated with Hearing Aids which can be downloaded via the Google Play Store.

To turn on Flash Notifications:

On Main Menu

> Scroll to the bottom

> Tap Other Options

> Tap Advanced

> Scroll to the bottom

> Tap Android Settings

> Tap Continue

> Tap Yes

> Tap Accessibility

> Tap Scroll down to and Tap Flash notifications

> Tap "Screen Flash" on

To use your Chatsie with an inductive loop:

  1. Ensure your hearing aid has a T-coil: Not all hearing aids have this feature, so check with your audiologist or the hearing aid manufacturer.
  2. Activate T-mode on your hearing aid: Most hearing aids with a T-coil have a setting (often labeled "T" or "MT") that you need to switch to.
  3. Hold the phone near your hearing aid: Position the phone's earpiece close to your hearing aid. You might need to experiment with the exact placement to find the best signal and minimize any potential interference.

While the Chatsie supports inductive loops, the best experience will always depend on the specific hearing aid model and its T-coil's sensitivity, as well as the quality of the inductive loop system itself.
