I am being asked to refresh my phone - why?

The physical phone that you hold is called the “hardware” and what you see on the screen is “software”. Very occasionally, there will be technical updates to one or both of these, which then affects how the Chatsie software runs on your phone hardware. It is like the phone (hardware) forgets that it is connected to the software, and so we need to re-explain to it, in four simple steps.

If this has happened, you will see this screen:

Hit continue and follow these four steps to get back to using Chatsie:

  1. This step starts the process of refreshing the phone.
  2. This step gets you to the right place to re-explain that Chatsie is the right option.
  3. This step explains to the phone that Chatsie is good for you (refreshing its memory).
  4. This finishes the process and you will be able to use the phone normally.
