Chatsie! Say hello when you come in to alert others of your arrival!

BEST TIMES TO CHAT GRAPH:

I've noticed people coming in during the morning hours and afternoon, and a series of "HELLO IS ANYONE OUT THERE :(" or "DOES ANYONE EVEN CHAT HERE" messages being left. Rest assured, there are a LOT of people who chat here, but usually the crowds of people only really show up in the LATE evening. I have just started logging Chatsie! usage separately from the rest of my server, so this graph only represents the last 6 days or so, but if you are looking for the best time to chat on Chatsie!, this may help you:

So, between the hours of 8 pm and 2 am (Eastern Standard Time) are the best hours to converse, if you want a crowd of people. Although I would love for this to be used heavily during the day as well. If you come in, and no one appears active, consider parking yourself in the chat . . . someone else will be along shortly with the message "HELLO IS ANYONE HERE?".

CHATSIE! VERSION 2.0 IS UNDERWAY:

Very soon, I'll transition out this chat, and transition in a new chat, which should be faster, less buggy, and slicker looking. There are many possible exciting features this new incarnation will have, such as URL sharing (to the side of the chat or below the chat), and generally a richer user experience. Hopefully we'll also have rotating ads (*crosses fingers*). We may temporarily lose the Etsy Shop link feature, and you'll have to create a new user name . . . but your user profile will be much more rich, with your own Facebook-style wall you can post your favorite items to, for others to see.

I AM NOT ADDING ANY NEW ADS AT THIS TIME, because I am very busy . . . you are welcome to send them, and they'll be posted EVENTUALLY. But I should let you know, I have decided to keep ads FREE, forever. There may be a paid ad option at some point, but ads as they are now will always be free. Because I think Chatsie! will be more awesome that way.

Welcome to Chatsie! As the old Etsy chat rooms have been terminated, I have created a new home for Etsy chat lovers -- this website, Chatsie.com! It is JUST starting out, it's in its infant stages, but I think we could get our wonderful, vibrant Etsy chat community back together!
